Religion (PreK-5)
St. Bridget Parish School acknowledges that faith formation is a lifelong process. We recognize that the child’s faith development is begun in the early years of our students’ families, continued in the formal instructional years, and continued throughout life. Our school is founded upon the principles of our Catholic faith. These principles are interwoven daily throughout the entire curriculum. The faith life of our students is built upon a formal religion curriculum enhanced through daily classroom prayers, weekly school liturgies, service projects within the school setting, and service projects which extend beyond the walls of our building. We strive to nurture, teach, and encourage ways to recognize the presence of God in our daily experiences both within and outside of our school. We acknowledge our call to discipleship.

Music
The goal of St. Bridget’s music program is to provide the students with a varied and enjoyable musical experience in which students will obtain skills necessary to develop and use their musical creativity and talent to the fullest of their abilities. The curriculum has been designed to build smoothly from year to year. Students will learn beginning music theory, have an understanding of the major musical styles, and the ability to sing in a group. The music program guides students toward a lifetime of appreciation and pleasure through music.

Physical Education
The St. Bridget Physical Education program is based upon teaching students the knowledge, skills, motivation, and confidence to participate in lifelong physical activities. Our PE program provides a positive, energetic and supportive environment that teaches a wide variety of activities such as: loco motor skills, physical fitness, rhythm and dance, team and individual sports, roller skating, cooperative games, problem solving and team building. Students will also learn the rules and regulations of many sports activities to increase their enjoyment as a participant and spectator. While participating in PE, students will also learn and apply the components of fitness on a daily basis in order to encourage participation in their own personal fitness program as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Technology
The computer technology curriculum is designed to prepare children for life in the 21st century where computers play an increasingly important part in our daily lives. We believe that the use of technology will enrich the learning experiences of all students. Computer instruction begins at the pre-kindergarten level and is expanded in the following grade levels. Students become more proficient in technological skills as they learn new software programs, integrate new topics, and develop more challenging projects. Specific technology skills taught include word processing, database use, spreadsheets/graphing, presentation tools, desktop publishing, and Internet research.

Spanish (PreK-5)
Spanish class is an introduction to the language with a strong emphasis on oral communication. Students develop age-appropriate levels of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Class activities include stories, songs, games and projects. Our objective is to teach students basic Spanish: greetings, letters, numbers, colors, days, dates, objects, family, body, and basic expressions.
